the journey

Having competed in the 2006 Polar Challenge to the magnetic North Pole, it seemed inevitable that we would be drawn to an expedition to the South Pole. As part of the build up to this event, we aim to complete an Ironman Triathlon and to swim the English Channel

We intend to start our adventure from Hercules Inlet and complete a coast to pole journey. This is a distance of about 700 miles hauling our sledges each weighing around 60kg.

Temperatures will average -20 degrees Celsius, but with a wind chill factor making an effective temperature down to about -40.

Crossing Bathurst Island

Our next team event will be the River Dart 10k swim on 12th September in Devon. If you wish to join the team please email us
We're currently training at the Runaround Sports open water swim venue at Top Barn Activity Centre outside Worcester. The water temperature is a very pleasant 19.9 degrees C!
